Charles Leclerc, Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton’s teams have been given suspended fines after a post-race investigation in Austria.
The top three finishers were summoned over an alleged breach of Article 12.2.1.i) of the International Sporting Code – more specifically parc ferme conditions.
The article in question related to a “failure to follow the instructions of the relevant officials for the safe and orderly conduct of the event”.
Suspended fines for Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes
Noting that the drivers’ physios or “assistants” entered parc ferme without permission, the stewards confirmed rule breaches.
But instead of handing out severe penalties, the panel opted to give Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes suspended fines of €10,000.
As such, the podium places – and the final result of the Grand Prix – remain as they were.
